The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

Brian Barber distributed a traffic analysis completed by CMRPC related to the construction of an interconnection ramp on Malden Street with I-190.  The traffic models showed minimal reduction in traffic alleviation on Main Street.   The interchange created high volumes on Malden and Bullard Street which would require improvements.  The results have placed low priority rating on the TIP list for this project.  The benefits do not seem to outweigh the costs and impact that would result at this point in time.

It was asked if Main Street is close enough to capacity for the State to mandate the conversion of Route 122 into a four lane roadways.  Bill Giezentanner stated the updates to Main Street are so recent it may be sometime before additional work is completed.  Additional recommendations were made to alleviate traffic which include limiting the number of curb cuts and left and left hand turns onto Main Street out of parking lots.

Jeff Maxtutis, requested a few minor revisions to the traffic study which were not expected to alter the results.  The revisions should take another two weeks and the study would be distributed.

The forum and purpose of the June 5th meeting at the Senior Center was discussed.  It was to invite all boards, committees, commission and staff to review information gathered to date, ensure accuracy, allow for additional input and provide a stake in the implementation plan to those responsible.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
